Leave a describtion of what you would like a poem about.  Some request are as simple as a word, i.e. Trees, or the color red, or Baltimore. Others are much more nuanced and require a little more information, i.e. My Grandmother is 88 and spent her life as a nurse. I always loved visiting her in Vermont and eating her butter cookies, etc.
